Videos for St Patrick’s Day 2022

Children’s Video – It’s Your Turn

We invited children from all over the country whose parents or grandparents or great grandparents had left Ireland to make their home in this country to do a ‘turn’ for St Patrick’s Day 2022. This is their video.

Remembering Ireland Through Songs and Stories

Love Remembered

Songs bring back memories of home. In this, our latest video, our friends at the London Irish Pensioners’ Choir provided the accompaniment to these three stories inspired by the songs : ‘The Galway Shawl’, ‘The Mountains of Mourne’ and ‘Red is the Rose’. We hope you enjoy it. It is performed by David Tarpey.

Last year we invited Irish people living in the UK to tell us why particular songs meant so much to them. Here are there stories- some happy- some sad. We hope you enjoy them.

Songs From  The Heart – Songs of Home.

For this project we recorded why a particular Irish song meant so much to the following people.

‘Mheilte Cheann Dubhrann’  to Margaret Felton

‘The Rose of Tralee’ to Ethel Corduff

‘Bi Thusa Mo Shuile’ to Crystal Baigent

‘Danny Boy’ to Daniel Kearney

‘Bless This House’ to Hugh

The Fields of Athenry’ to Sinead Savage
